Listening to the Cranberries makes me feel like it’s an odd but sweet glimpse into my future married life. Either that or what my married life would have been had it taken place in the 90’s.
I don’t understand any of it.
Everyone is upstairs getting ready to go to bed, I’m downstairs by myself on my laptop.
Me sitting at the dinner table: *keyboard sounds*
Little sister peeking down the staircase: You’re still here? It’s over…go home.
I’ve started a photo project with some of my friends, and posted about it on facebook. I’ve surprisingly gotten several message from people wanting to participate, so I’ve brought it to tumblr as well:
"Just woke up" is a project in which I will be both participant and curator. All participants will be asked to take a picture every morning, for 5 consecutive or non-consecutive mornings, right when they wake up. The purpose is to capture the moment and feeling of waking up, the in-between state of being asleep and awake. Anything from a picture of the ceiling you stare at when you open your eyes, to the wrinkles in the bed sheets, to whatever says, “I just woke up and this is what it’s like”.
Since I’ve no idea what the pictures will look like, I don’t know what will be done with the pictures after I receive them. I find the art of it to found in-the-process of and in the interaction between the photographers and I, rather than the actual end results. Some of it will also be in my own experience as I look through the photos once submitted and then seeing them as a whole. I’m excited about this, since I haven’t engaged in anything artistic for a long time, and also because I feel like the project is bringing others to engage in a creative process as well. Helping them to briefly step outside of routine, allowing them to adopt an idea that came from my own mind, and seeing how that looks once filtered through theirs.
I currently have 18 people participating, and if you’d like to join in, please message me! c: x
(except the exceptionally charming and mysterious people out there in the world whom I would like to meet~)
I have a lot of interests, and lots of small projects up my sleeve. I’m not the most productive person in the world but I like to think that I’m creative and artsy anyway. Plus, blogging is pretty cool and I’ve become fond of using Tumblr as a platform to share some of these aspects of myself. I’m also the weird type who eats her meals in parts (vegetables first, always) and that habit has leaked into how I do my blogging. In other words, I have way too many separate blogs for way too many separate things. Here’s the list:
And well, that’s it. You may go back to living your normal life now that you have been educated on my utter amazingness. *wink*
